On July 17, 2018, Cassady Law LLP sponsored the 23rd Annual Pot of Gold Golf Tournament at Mayfair Lakes Golf Club.

For the 23rd time, the Rotary Club held the Pot of Gold Golf Tournament to raise funds for youth programs in New Westminster with a portion of the net proceeds going to Salvation Army (New Westminster) and the Lower Mainland Purpose Society. The Pot of Gold Tournament started in 1996 by the Royal City Rotary Club and a hospital foundation. In the beginning, it was a modest tournament at an executive course, but over the years it has grown and is presently held at a full-size course. Cassady Law LLP has been a proud supporter of the Pot of Gold Golf Tournament from the start. The net proceeds of the 2018 tournament will be approximately $35,000. Over the years, the Rotary Club has raised over $525,000 for local charities with a focus on youth services.

Cassady Law LLP lawyers Dorie-Anne Leggett, Dale Framingham, Andrew McIntosh, Marcel Pytlewski, Kaila Dotten, and Joti Dhaliwal participated along-side some of our valued clients. Although we did not come out on top of the leader-board, we had plenty of fun taking photos with the BC Lions’ Felions, golfing all day in the beautiful weather, and participating in the various chipping and putting competitions throughout the course.

In addition to golf-related prizes, the Pot of Gold Golf Tournament offers a chance to win many non-golf related prizes including a silent auction and a regular auction following a buffet dinner.

The Rotary Club’s Pot of Gold Golf Tournament is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts here at Cassady Law LLP. It is always a fun day for a great cause and we invite everyone to attend next year!
