Margot Lorayes has been a Partner at Cassady Law since January 2024. She has a practice focusing on real estate law, corporate and commercial matters, estate and incapacity planning, and estate administration. She assists clients on a wide variety of matters, including residential and commercial real estate transactions, commercial loans, drafting and negotiating asset and share purchase agreements and other commercial contracts, corporate reorganizations, reviewing and drafting commercial lease agreements, drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Representation Agreements and Trust Agreements, administration of estates and trusts, and Committeeship Applications.
Margot speaks Tagalog fluently. She was on the Board of Directors of the West Coast Domestic Workers’ Association for five years and served as the Board Chair for four of those five years. Margot is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and since 2008 has been participating in the Lawyer Referral Service, a public service dedicated to increasing access to justice.
Margot joined Cassady Law LLP in December 2007. Prior to attending law school, Margot worked for several years in the financial industry, providing her with a strong background in banking and lending.
